Innovation Studio
Brave Particle was founded in 2017 by Hugo Miranda — an engineer with a track record of building things that didn't exist before. From OLED-integrated textiles to AI forecasting systems, Hugo spent over 15 years pushing boundaries across engineering, research, and textile innovation - at universities, research labs, startups, and leading textile companies.
Brave Particle is where all of that experience comes together. We combine engineering rigour, deep textile knowledge, AI expertise, and design thinking to build products and help companies innovate. While Hugo led innovation at some of Portugal's most established textile companies, Brave Particle continued to take on projects across electronics, smart textiles, museum technology, brand experiences and on-demand platforms. Today, the studio's focus is sharper than ever: building our own products and platforms while helping companies innovate through consulting.

Engineer by training, innovator by nature. Hugo has spent 15+ years working across engineering, research, textile innovation, and AI — from autonomous vehicle research and UAV inspection systems to smart textiles, award-winning fashion products, and AI-driven platforms.
His career spans three chapters: deep engineering and research in electronics and telecommunications; a decade of hands-on textile innovation — including creating the world's first anti-SARS-CoV-2 textile mask and OLED-integrated fabrics while leading innovation at Adalberto; and now, building AI-powered products and platforms at Brave Particle.
A TEDx speaker, multiple award winner, and active figure in the Portuguese innovation ecosystem, today, through Brave Particle, he helps businesses transform through technology — whether that means building an AI strategy, developing a smart product, creating a brand experience, or solving a problem that nobody else can crack.

Created MOxAD-Tech — the world's first social mask scientifically proven to inactivate the SARS-CoV-2 virus. Honored with a National Brand distinction.
